Versus Television Ratings up

“Coverage on VERSUS of the 2007 Tour de France drew in 20.5 million households, the best so far in the network’s history and topping coverage in 2005 that included Lance Armstrong’s final win. Traffic at VERSUS.com also increased during the 23-day period as page views jumped by 20% to 23.5 million.”

The above came to me as part of a newsletter I subscribe to on media trends. If the German broadcasters experienced similar trends, I doubt they will maintain their hard-line stance about broadcasting the tour when controversy arises.
