American Ricardo Hernandez Banned Two Years For Doping

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado, Oct 8, 2008 (AFP) – The United States Anti-Doping Agency slapped American cyclist Ricardo Hernandez on Wednesday with a two-year doping ban.

The 42-year-old Hernandez was suspended from competition after testing positive for exogenous testosterone, an anobolic drug, during the Vuelta Independencia Nacional race in March in the Dominican Republic.

USADA said Hernandez has accepted the suspension which will run until September 15, 2010.
