PARIS, Dec 30, 2008 (AFP) – Australian sprint specialist Baden Cooke has signed a one-year contract with Dutch outfit Vacansoleil, the second tier Continental Pro team said Tuesday.

Cooke, 30, is a five-time Tour de France participant with one stage win in
2003 to the Benalla-born racer’s name.

Vacansoleil, managed by Daan Luijkx, has 22 racers on its books and the squad will be unveiled on January 9 in Geertruidenberg.
