A GUIDE TO GREAT ROAD BIKE RIDES

In March, two Los Angeles area cycling shops will host Patrick Brady to sign copies of his recently released book, BICYCLING LOS ANGELES COUNTY:

• Cynergy Cycles in Santa Monica from 3-4pm on Sunday, March 9th
• Palos Verdes Bicycle Center in Rolling Hills Estates from 5-6pm on Sunday, March 30th

In BICYCLING LOS ANGELES COUNTY, passionate cyclist Patrick Brady has selected 40 different road rides ranging from easy rambles along beach bike paths to the mountainous canyon roads of Malibu. “The incredible variety of riding conditions and climatic variation has never ceased to amaze me,” he says in the book’s preface.

BICYCLING LOS ANGELES COUNTY includes all the information cyclists need to find the perfect ride, including:
• At-a-glance information and commentary
• Route profile, GPS-generated map, and elevation changes
• Road and traffic conditions, possible hazards, and proximity of important services
• Plus, the author offers a range of suggestions for after the ride including nearby attractions and where to find restaurants

Patrick Brady has been photographing and writing about cycling for more than 15 years. He has served as an editor of Bicycle Guide and founded and published Asphalt Magazine.
