Is California the new training ground for the classics? Our reporter is riding about one hour ahead of the peleton today on stage three of the Tour of California when what does he discover? Saunier Duval riders training on the course. The non racing riders of the Saunier Duval team are using the Tour of California route for training riding 20+ miles out ahead of their teammates and the rest of the peleton.

As we came down the hill to hit San Jose before the leaders,  we came across Tyler Hamilton and the Rock Racing crew also training on the course.   AEG kept them out of the race,  but it can’t take the race out of the riders.
