Time Trial Alters Leaderboard

The man of the hour during Stage 4 was German Stefan Schumacher. He produced the ride of his life to win to win the stage and take over the yellow jersey. He has a 12-second cushion on both Kim Kirchen and David Millar.
Cadel Evans put in his normally steady, but not spectacular ride to pull himself a short distance from the yellow jersey. A great race by Christian Vandevelde puts him pretty close to yellow, also.
The overnight leader, Romain Feillu, had an absolutely disastrous day and plummeted from the leader board, losing almost five minutes to the stage winner. To lose five minutes of time in just 30 km shows you just how hard the time trial stages can be.
