Davis Wins At Tour of Poland, Fisher Takes Lead
WARSAW, Sept 15, 2008 (AFP) - Australian Allan Davis continued his rich vein of form by claiming stage two in the Tour of Poland Pro Tour race here on Monday.
Davis claimed the win after 231.2km of racing between Plock and Olsztyn to give his new team, Quick Step, another podium place following his third place finish at the Hamburg Cyclassics last week.
Brazilian Murilo Fischer of the Liquigas team took over the race leader’s jersey from Dane Lars Bak, who was first over the line for CSC in their victorious ride in the opening team time trial.
