ROME, June 29, 2008 (AFP) – Veteran Filippo Simeoni, of the Flaminia-Bossini team, won the Italian national road race title at Bergamo on Sunday.
The 36-year-old, who made a break with four kilometres to go in the 254km race, said afterwards: “I have dreamed of this moment for nine years.”
