Garmin-Slipstream’s Dan Martin Joins Bike-Pure

Bike Pure are pleased to announce the arrival of Dan Martin
(Garmin-Slipstream) to our anti-doping campaign.
English-born Irishman Daniel Martin has shone for the Garmin-Slipstream team this year with victory in the Irish Championships and also overall victory in the mountainous Route du Sud (UCI 2.1) stage race in June.

Dan hails from a big cycling family, son of prolific 80′s pro Neil Martin and nephew of Tour de France hero Stephen Roche, he clearly has what it takes to be a top professional. His impressive climbing form is his strongest asset and has also shown he can ride a good time trial too – both major attributes for any successful stage race rider. His Garmin-Slipstream team continue to lead the way with a strict anti-doping line that Bike Pure fully commends.

The talented climber rode with the top Marseille based team VC La Pomme in
2007 with victories in the GP Rayol Canadel and the Tour de Savoie as well as claiming the mountains jersey in the tough Ronde de l¹Isard race for U23 riders. These results saw him being snapped up by Team Garmin-Chipotle this season. We wish Dan all the best for 2009 and will be keeping Bike Pure visitors updated with his progress through the season.
