Joachim Rodriguez of Caisse d’Epargne Wins Tirreno-Adriatico Third stage
ROME, March 14, 2008 (AFP) - Spaniard Joachim Rodriguez, riding for the Caisse d’Epargne team, won the third stage of the Tirreno-Adriatico cycling race over 195km from Gubbio to Montelupone.
Italian Danilo Di Luca of LPR finished second with Swede Niklas Axelsson of Diquigiovanni, taking the new race lead after finishing third.
Stage favorite Ricardo Ricco of Italy fell behind after a fall.
