July 4th 2007, I was riding south on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, CA. A Honda Accord is looking for a parking space and pulls over to park right in front of me while I am descending at around 25 mph. I head butt his trunk, flip over handle bars and land on my back, elbow, hip. At least the guy felt really bad (the last guy acted like I hit HIM), and the insurance paid for everything (maybe I should have replaced the wheels with a set of zipps). Nothing was broken but the Pacific Coast Highway has now become the sr (suicide run) and I am still a bit jittery to ride it. The idea of racing in a crit scares me and I am quite certain this collision is at least partly to blame.
