VeloGuy is reporting that Jackson Stewart has just dropped out of the race and is being treated for Hypothermia.  It’ll cost him his KOM jersey.

The break is down to eight guys. Its pouring rain. Stewart is King of the Mountain again. The breakaway is working well together swapping the lead and the swapping the pain. They are soaking wet wearing rain gear and working their way into San Luis Obispo now. They have about 2 minutes on the rest of the peleton.

at mile 88.5 the gap is up to 4 minutes.
