Nydam out in front while the peleton has lunch - Tour of California Stage 2
As we come up to noon time on stage 2, Nydam is riding his own break away, down in full racing position, 15 minutes ahead of the peleton. The peleton is rolling along at a casual pace, sitting up, having lunch, some light conversation and letting Nydam have his fun. Team Kelly Benefit’s Sundt is about 7 minutes ahead of the peleton and an equal time behind Nydam.
KOM points went to Nydam, Jonathan Sundt (Kelly Benefits), Jackson Stewart, Jens Voigt (CSC) and Alexandre Moos (BMC).
Team BMC is bringing us our most aggressive rides yesterday and today. But the peleton obviously doesn’t consider Nydam enough of a threat to worry about pulling them back.
