Rock Racing Takes Its Show On The Road
Michael Ball, the colorful leader of Rock Racing, and the PT Barnum of American Cycling sent his three banned riders back on the road again today. They were shooting video, maybe for the rumored reality show about the team.
Our reporter caught up to their caravan, a Michael Ball’s now infamous Rolls Royce trailing the two green and black Rock Racing Escalades. One was acting like a camera car with the back doors open and a camera man filming Tyler Hamilton, Oscar Sevilla and … riding two to three feet behind. They looked great against the green and black background of Los Padres National Forest as they rolled along US 1 ahead of the Peloton on todays stage 4 at the Amgen Tour of California.
Later the caravan was spotted headed back while the rest of peleton rode in the freezing rain.
