This is one of the best things I have read in a long long time.
As an avid cyclist and fan of cycling, I have some small recommendations:
-cycling is a world wide sport, the story should be in metric measurements
-it wasn’t nearly as verbally intricate or dextrose (should be dextrous) as his encounter with Pagnoli.
-her body had virtually dissolved into the bed, without structure, as if ligaments had released and bones had resolved (should be dissolved)
-naming or eluding (should be alluding to dozens of riders whose lives would thereafter be thrown into the worst kind of limbo
-with their flat handlebars and huge carbon discs covering the spokes of their rear tires to squeeze out further aerodynamic benefit (the disk wheels are actually made of carbon fibre, there are no spokes, in fact this is against the rules)
