Sprick wins first stage of Malaysia’s Tour de Langkawi
KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, Feb 9, 2008 (AFP) - Frenchman Matthieu Sprick of
team Bouygues Telecom won the first stage of the Tour de Langkawi cycling race
in Malaysia’s northern town of Alor Setar on Saturday.
Australian Mitchell Docker from Drapac Porche took second place.
Sprick won the 183 kilometre (114 mile) stage in four hours 10 minutes and
55 seconds.
The 9-stage race began in northern Kedah state and ends on Sunday February
17 in the capital Kuala Lumpur.
