Team Toyota United Tears Up Redlands On New Fuji Prototype TT Bikes
Bicycle.net was at the start of the Redlands Cycling Classic and had the opportunity to talk with Len Pettyjohn of Team Toyota United. Among other things we were able to get a real good look at the new prototype Fuji TT bike, which it would appear is quite the rocket ship based on the results of the Toyota United team. Toyota United has been putting in some pretty impressive race results over the last few months, capped off by the super human ride of Dominique Rollins on Stage 4 at the Amgen Tour of California. We expect to see the Toyota United guys go for wins at Redlands.
“As you noticed after the Redlands TT six of the Toyota-United boys were riding some new stealth looking Fuji time trial bikes. This is the first race with the new prototype and the results were stunning…all six riders were in the top 15, with four in the top seven. The new Fuji time trial bike is still in an experimental stage and I think the final design will have everything needed for speed, handling and light weight when it hits the consumer market towards the end of the year.”
