Teams for the 2008 Giro d’Italia:

As the race officials at the 2008 Giro d’Italia announce the teams that will race, a few noticeable teams have been left off the list. Both Team Astana & Team High Road have been left off the list.

This obvious slap in the face of Astana and High Road begs the question; If a race is going to exclude a team from racing because of past doping issues, then why should they bother to clean up their act. Bicycle.net believes that the teams that are going to great lengths to clean up the sport of cycling deserve our support. Team High Road is spending very large amounts of money to go above and beyond the standards set by the UCI, etc.. Let them race, we need clean teams.
