Cavendish Brightens Dark Day

Aargh! I was looking forward to a good transition stage with the sprinters fighting it out for glory, not the bombshell that landed about an hour before the start. Riccardo Ricco was surrounded by mystery and suspicion because of his “magical” performances in the mountains. This morning we learned that there is not such thing as “magic”.

He returned a positive dope test for a third generation long term new form of EPO called CERA. I am sure that he thought he couldn’t get caught and I am very angry that there are still a few “prats” out there who think that they can cheat the system. The system at the moment is getting a little difficult to cheat — thank heavens.
