Well, if I talked about the historic win yesterday for Mark Cavendish, I’d better mention that he just went one better bringing his tally to four stage wins in a single Tour.

Again, his team had total confidence in him and set a tempo on the front of the pack mile after mile on a long hot stage across the South of France. They did it to stop the two-man breakaway getting too far up the road and close enough so that they could be pulled into the pack nearer to the finish.
