Arvesen Claims His Initial Stage Win

The mountains of the Tour always provide us with a spectacle and today was no different. The stage into Foix had a couple of firsts for the 2008 edition of the Tour de France. Foix is one of the most beautiful cities in the southern part of France and the gateway to the Pyrenees. Many of the stages of the Tour finish in the Pyrenees and come through Foix, but it was the first time for us to be exposed to the charms of this great little town.

The riders on the course provided us with a thrilling stage highlighted by a long breakaway – from a break – by Amael Moinard of Team Cofidis.
