By Bob Roll
One of the most exciting mountain stages in recent memory unfolded before us today on the stage from Cuneo to Jausiers. Stefan Schumacher, who wore the yellow jersey earlier in the Tour, made an impressive bid for the stage win.
A counter attack came from Damiano Cunego and 30 other riders, including George Hincapie of Team Columbia.
