Stage 19 is in the books as they say, and the French are celebrating wildly after Sylvain Chavanel delivered the victory for the third time in this year’s Tour.

To have a Tour de France that’s embraced by the host country in a sustainable sense, it’s critical that the French riders are competitive. Three stage wins for any country in the current climate of world wide cycling is a great accomplishment and wildly successful. Hopefully, Chavanel’s victory will be proclaimed from every mountaintop as a testament of French success.
