Cavendish Emerges From Sprint

Today in the Tour de France was a transitional stage to link up to the mountain. The racing action returned to center stage, thankfully and Mark Cavendish proved not just to be the fastest, but also the most dominant sprinter of this year’s Tour. Not since the heyday of Mario Cipollini have we seen a sprinter so thoroughly dominate any grand tour.

It was a very reasonable day out on the roads for the yellow jersey man from Australia, Cadel Evans. The sprint was a furious affair with all the heads of state coming to the fore a long ways from the finish line.
