I liked the article b/c it revealed a world I knew was there. I knew the teams were involved in helping them get their drugs. How? B/c I knew of BH H.S. Football players who were told how to use drugs. B/c I read articles about Boston Red Sox team meetings about how to use drugs safely. B/c of that baseball book about the A's in the 90's. You tell me it goes on at the amateur level in cycling, a lot. Now Papp tells us it goes on at the low level pro's. You know what? I gotta believe its going on big time with all the pro's too. Otherwise, how do u explain how they are so much better? With all that money involved, u know people will cheat and bribe others to not get punished. What I know of human nature tells me that everyone is doing it. The TdF from 2 yrs ago was the only one that I would believe was mostly clean.
The best line is the suggestion for a Year Zero. Turn the page. Its a wonderful concept. And it acknowledges that the problem is a pandemic. Everyone is doing it. Many are seeing now that its only a matter of time b4 they get caught. They may want to give it up but are worried about not being competitive anymore. Year Zero solves all of that.
Papp said all the things Landis, Hamilton, A-Rod, Bonds, McGuire etc should have said.
Love to see where this goes.
