Now someone needs to get his medical license revoked and tighten the screws on this guy. On top of any civil action that is being instituted. The good doctor now will get his. He has to be sh&t*&^ bricks right now.

SANITY PREVAILS (finally!).

This nutcase told numerous people he intentionally did it, then hired an attorney to explain how saying "I did it" means something else altogether. Imagine how challenging that would be to be on the jury, thinking, WTF did he just say?

This guy's probably one of the most pathetic people I've ever heard of. The ultimate coward. A guy who feels mighty when he's safe inside a 4,000 steel box and using it against guys who have no protection at all.

Granted, the cyclists showed manners I wouldn't want taught to my kids (and which admittedly reflect my own poor behavior at times I'm at my worst -- so I'm not certainly trying to be holier than anybody here. But no amount of childish behavior deserves Assault With a Deadly Weapon as a response.

Now here's an otherwise upstanding citizen, doctor, and pillar of his community, who appends the titles "Public Menace" and "Convicted Felon" to his curriculum vitae. Here's a guy who will be faced every day, for the rest of his life, with the fact that a jury of his peers found him to be a first class scumbag who deserves to be removed from society, for everybody else's sake.

Sad as this case is, there's solace in justice being served, and served cold.
