Milram Announces Tour de France Team
PARIS, June 19, 2009 (AFP) – The Milram team named German cyclists Linus Gerdemann and Gerald Ciolek as joint team leaders for next month’s Tour de France, the German-backed outfit said on Friday.
The nine-man line-up for the Tour starting at Monaco on July 4 comprises six Germans, an Austrian, a Czech and a Dutch rider.
26-year-old Gerdemann was briefly overall leader and won a stage in the 2007 Tour while 22-year-old Ciolek is a former youth world champion.
