CAVE CREEK, ARIZ., Feb., 2, 2009—Monde Productions produces exclusive behind-the-scenes webisodes covering all 9 days and 800 miles of the Tour of California available at Bicycle.net.

Following up to the pilot series covering the experiences of 2007 and 2008 Tour of California winner, Levi Leipheimer and his Team Astana teammates, 2009 coverage will be even more cutting edge and investigative as Lance Armstrong joins the race. This next-generation show will be presented in daily behind-the-scenes webisodes at partner Bicycle.net and other outlets in daily postings. Throughout the TOC, each webisode will feature commentary from riders about the previous stage, insight from the Director of the strategy that shaped the outcome, fan comments and technical background to bring fans even deeper into the sport.

Part of the TOC webisode series, Inside Astana, is produced by Kevin W. Smith of Monde Productions, a longtime amateur rider on teams stateside and abroad. Kevin wanted to share his passion for the sport by giving fans the chance to see the tour from the team’s perspective coupled with technical insight that will strengthen understanding of the function of the Tour – all in fast-paced, 3-5 minute webisodes that complemented the daily coverage of the race.
