Small Fracture for Chris Horner of Astana
An MRI scan in San Diego revealed a hairline crack in the lateral tibia plateau of his left leg. Chris Horner crashed in the 10th stage of the Tour of Italy (Cuneo-Pinerolo). He finished the stage but was not able any more to start in the eleventh stage. After one week rest Chris Horner resumed training but still suffered pain. Horner will have to rest two more weeks, but the injury should heal rapidly. The rider still hopes to ride the Tour de France.
Earlier in the season Chris Horner fractured his collar bone and a rib in the Tour of the Basque Country (April 9th).
