At about 64 miles into the stage as the breakaway comes up to Woodside, they climbed to 2135 feet with a nice breakaway; about 3:40 out in front of the main peleton. Rock Racing is controlling the peleton protecting the yellow jersey for their rider Mancedo, yesterday’s winner.

The Breakaway, includes Steven Cozza of Garmin-Slipstream, Jason McCartney of SaxoBank,
Kobzarenko of Team Type 1, Ben Jaques-Maynes of Bissel and Carlos Baredo of Quick Step.

After crossing to the descent, Cozza called for and got a new bike and rejoined the peleton.

Will anyone help Rock Racing pull in the breakaway? or will they stay away and make it to the end.
