Fact sheet for the running of the 93rd edition of the Giro d’Italia:

Route: 3469.3 kilometers in twenty-one steps. Depart Amsterdam on May 8, arrived in Verona on May 30. Four against the clock, a team (Step 4), three individuals (two in plain 1st and 21st stage, an uphill 16th stage), four summit finishes (8th, 15th, 16th and 20th stages), two days rest (11 and 24 May).

The regulations
Four jerseys: pink (overall), red (points), green (Mountain) and white (young, 25 years and under).
Bonuses: 20 sec, 12 sec and 8 sec in the first three of each step online. 6 sec, 4 sec and 2 sec of the first three intermediate sprint.
Price: EUR 1,378,510 in total funding.

92 editions since the creation of the event in 1909. 65 victories for Italy, 7 for Belgium, France, 6, 3 for Spain and Switzerland, 3 Russia, Luxembourg 2, 1 for USA, Ireland and Sweden.
Most wins: 5 Alfredo Binda (ITA) between 1925 and 1933, Fausto Coppi (ITA) between 1940 and 1953, Eddy Merckx (BEL) between 1968 and 1974
