The USA Cycling Professional Tour continued, June 6, with the TD Bank International Championship in Philadelphia. After a hot 251 kilometers, HTC-Columbia sprinter Matthew Goss of Australia got his lead-out of the 34-rider front group and took the victory.
Following one of America’s great one-day race events, Michael Rogers (AUS/Team HTC-Columbia) holds on to his lead in America’s only professionals-only calendar. With his win in Philly however Goss moved into the top five in the individual standings and his HTC-Columbia squad built a commanding lead in the team standings. Peter Sagan (SLO/Liquigas-Doimo) used his second-place result to move into second in the overall individual standings and also to move his team up into third.
With three of the eight events on the 2010 USA Cycling Professional Tour complete, the standings are as follows:
