Spanish rider Manuel Vazquez has tested positive for EPO during an out of competition doping exam on March 20th, 2010. It is being reported by the International Cycling Union (UCI).

Vazquez, who is 29 years old, races for Team Andalucia (2nd division).

His most significant performance so far has been a 15th place overall at the Vuelta last year.

“This targeted enforcement has been made on the basis of information contained in the rider’s biological passport,” said the UCI.
