The 2011 Omega Pharma–Lotto troops met yesterday for the first time in Deinze, Belgium, giving the newcomers an opportunity to meet and know their future team mates and staff.

Over the last few weeks, our team had especially active on the transfer market, and today a last acquisition can be announced: German Marcel Sieberg comes over from HTC-Columbia.

Sieberg has been a pro rider since 2006, winning four races since. GP Jef Scherens in 2006 was his first important win, followed in 2007 by 2nd of Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne. This year, he got some good results, such as 3rd of stage four at Giro, 5th of Omloop Het Nieuwsblad and 8th of the opening stage at Tour of Poland: More info: http://www.marcelsieberg.de.

This transfer completes the 2011 Omega Pharma–Lotto team. With Belgians Jurgen Van De Walle, Frederik Willems, Klaas Lodewijck, Gert Dockx, Sven Vandousselaere, Bart De Clercq and Jens Debusschere, and a strong foreign group: André Greipel, Adam Hansen, David Boucher, Jussi Veikkanen, Oscar Puyol, Vicente Reynes and Marcel Sieberg, there are no less than 14 newcomers !
