Danish cycling team Saxo Bank will line up for the three-week Giro d’Italia in May without any of its major stars.

Top names like Swiss Fabian Cancellara and the Luxembourg brothers Andy and Frank Schleck will be missing from the nine-man squad which includes Danish climbing specialist Chris Anker Soerensen and time trial specialist Gustav Larsson of Sweden.

The Tour de France, at which Cancellara and the Schleck brothers will try to play starring roles, is held July 3-25.
