Powers & Amaran Lead NRC After Joe Martin
Luis Amaran (CUB/Jamis-Sutter Home p/b Colavita) and Alison Powers (Pinecliffe, Colo./Team Vera Bradley Foundation) used victories in the 2010 USA Cycling National Racing Calendar’s (NRC) fifth event, the Joe Martin Stage Race, to grab the overall NRC lead.
Amaran and Powers both used the stage race victory to jump from third to first place in the standings, while Katheryn Mattis (Mountain View, Calif./Webcor) and Benjamin Day (AUS/Fly Australia) used their second-place overall result at Joe Martin to move up in the top five.
The Fly V Australia squad continues to hold a slim lead in the men’s team standings meanwhile Team Vera Bradley Foundation took hold of a strong lead on the women’s side.
