MILRAM rider repeats previous year’s success at the national cyclo-cross championship in Magstadt

Dortmund, 10. January 2010. MILRAM’s Paul Voß won the bronze medal in the German cyclo-cross championships on Sunday. He thus repeated his success from the previous year and secured his ProTour team its second national championship medal in 2010. Last week MILRAM newcomer Luke Roberts also finished third in the time trial in Australia.

New and old ‘cross champion is Philipp Walsleben. The reigning U-23 World Champion dominated the field on the icy and snowy course in Magstadt. Christoph Pfingsten was second and MILRAM’s Paul Voß third.

MILRAM allrounder Paul Voß, who had concentrated on road training the last few weeks, was satisifed with his performance. „I am very satisfied with my bronze medal. I had hoped for a podium place,“ said a happy Paul Voß afer the medal ceremony. „I couldn’t be sure, though. In the last weeks I have trained more for the road season and so wasn’t really in form for the ‘cross races. The difficult course was good for me and after some problems at the start I could really use my good condition and strength.“

After starting in the last row, he ran into a tree right after the start. But the MILRAM rider gave chase and after a total of nine laps achieved his third place finish.
