Giro d’Italia, Stage 6: Looking Ahead
Cadel Evans and the BMC Racing Team safely completed Friday’s Stage 6 of the Giro d’Italia while looking ahead to a pair of more challenging stages this weekend.

Hectic Start
Saturday’s 215 kilometer race includes three climbs – one before the finish – marking the “real start” of the Giro, Evans said. “Saturday is a tough stage,” the world champion said. “Both days will be good indicators of who the serious contenders are for the overall. Today, with the weather and the slick roads at the start, it was a bit difficult. There were a lot of crashes. I was happy my ex-teammate and old roommate and friend of mine (Matthew Lloyd) won today.”
