Tom Boonen’s Comeback To Competition At Circuit Franco-Belge

September 29th, 2010 – The Circuit Franco-Belge, from September 30 to October 3, 2010 will mark Tom Boonen’s comeback to competitions after a long absence. The QUICK STEP rider has undergone knee surgery following an injury at Tour de Suisse.

“I am looking forward to being in the peloton again – Boonen said -. I have been able to train really well in the past two weeks. I have done long, intense training sessions on the roads of Monaco. My knee is doing well, my morale is good and I’m very motivated. Obviously the pace during a race is different from what it is during training, so the four stages of Circuit Franco-Belge will be important most of all to get acclimated with competitions again. I hope I’ll be able to race smoothly, no accidents involved.”
Riders: Tom Boonen, Dries Devenyns, Nikolas Maes, Francesco Reda, Kevin Seeldraeyers, Andreas Stauff, Kevin Van Impe, Wouter Weylandt.
D.s: Rik Verbrugghe.
