Defending champion Thomas Voeckler of France and Ukrainian Yaroslav Popovich, 8th in the 2007 Tour are the headliners for the 24th edition of the Tour of Poitou-Charentes, which will start Tuesday Chalais
(Charente) and ends Friday at Poitiers (Vienne).

Voeckler, winner of the Tour in 2007, will attempt to register a second time his name on the list of winners.

The American team RadioShack, without Lance Armstrong, lead with former world champion, Ukrainian Yaroslav Popovich, 8th Tour de France 2007.

He is joined by the Portuguese Sergio Paulinho, who won the 10th stage of Tour de France this year, and the Spaniard Haimar Zubeldia, who was dominating in the Tour de l’Ain.
