White Lightning Introduces New Crystal Grease

Bay Shore, New York—White Lightning’s new grease is so clean it had to be called “Crystal™.” Crystal Grease is totally non-toxic, non-staining, odorless, flavorless, biodegradable and of course, crystal clear. But don’t judge it solely by its great looks. Crystal Grease holds up to extreme heat that leaves other products melting down a fork or leaching from bearings in ugly black streams. It’s a “no-drop” grease—meaning the oil won’t separate and drop out of the thickener on a scorching hot day.

“You could hold a blow torch to Crystal Grease and it would catch fire before it melted,” said White Lightning owner Hank Krause. “That’s important in warm riding conditions and on down hill legs when the breaks start kicking off a lot of heat. If you see leaching oil, the best case scenario is it’s undermining your performance, but there’s a real danger it’s causing wear and tear on your bicycle.”

Crystal Grease can used in all of the places traditional greases are typically applied, such as seat posts, bottom brackets, stem and headset assemblies, wheel hubs, gaskets & o-rings.

For hard core grease enthusiasts who want to know what makes Crystal Grease so special, it’s got an aluminum-based thickening system that also makes it 100% waterproof. Other ingredients include premium hydro-treated base oils that deliver smooth bearing lubrication, long-lasting durability and efficient “pumpability” over a wide range of temperatures.

Mechanics like the stuff because it’s clear. They see can through it to spot wearing components and impurities. And if they happen to over apply it, there’s not a big mess to clean up.

Crystal Grease is available in 1lb tubs for an MSRP of $19.99.
