So, how is it going for you so far on the bike?
Me?
Thanks for asking.
All is well and the racing season is starting to take shape nicely. My power is up, my heart rate is lower, and my winter fat layer is starting to melt. My new coach is kick ass, both in his workouts and his results. I have already seen a few top 25 in my CAT 4 races. I have even started to work on my sprint to try to contest a few in 2011.
So what is the problem you ask? It has something to do with the rain. I hate racing in the rain. I love riding in the rain, but racing is another story. This Sunday is the CBR #2 race and we are expecting rain, and I really want to go, but all the same idiots (I am likely one of those idiots) who come in the dry weather and cause crashes (no I am definitely not one of these idiots). With the rain they have an even better excuse to cause the removal of someone else’s skin by doing some bonehead stupid maneuver.
Chris Lotts, the promoter send out his newsletter to let us know that his show goes on “Rain or Shine”, and you wimps are not sugar, and dissolve in the rain. Hey Chris, that is not my worry.
I LIKE MY SKIN JUST WHERE IT IS!
