The Saxo Bank-SunGard’s Argentinean cycling brothers, Juan Jose and Lucas Sebastian Haedo have both been involved in crashes recently. During Paris-Nice, Sebastian Haedo was struck by a police motor bike from behind and he suffered a flesh wound when crashing. The strong South American was stitched up by French medicals but the stitches were only superficial and would not allow the wound to heal. Saxo Bank’SunGard’s own medical doctor, Piet de Moor then decided that the youngest Haedo-brother were to undergo surgery in order to heal up properly.
Sebastian (Haedo) was operated last Monday in Barcelona and is going to a check-up this Monday and hopefully, he will be allowed to train again late next week.
Big brother, Juan Jose Haedo was also very unfortunate to crash and literally go head first against a tree during Dwars door Vlaandern and his helmet cracked in two pieces. The powerful sprinter who won stage three of the Italian Tirreno-Adriatico is back in the saddle and soon both Haedos will be back in competition.
