PARIS – Didier Rous, who resigned from his post as sports director of the cycling team Europcar (former BBox), joined the team Cofidis in the same position.

Aged 40 years of age, the former double champion de France (2001 and 2003) was the Bbox sporting director since the end of his racing career after the 2007 season.

“Didier is the man for the job,” Eric Boyer, manager Cofidis he told AFP . “He has charisma, authority and natural experience. He demonstrated his ability to mobilize a team around a single objective.

Eric Boyer said Didier Rous is one of four sports directors for the team, with Deloeil Alain, Bernard QUILFEN and newcomer, Stephane Auge, who ended his racing career.
