Stage 7, May 13 (Maddaloni – Montevergine di Mercogliano):
Climb: Montevergine di Mercogliano (1260m high): 17.1km at 5 percent
average gradient

Stage 9, May 15 (Messina – Etna):
Etna, refuge Citelli (1631m): 18km at 6.1
Etna, refuge Sapienza (1892m): 19.4km at 6.2

Stage 13, May 20 (Spilimbergo – Grossglockner, Austria):
Passo di Monte Croce Carnico (1336m): 10.4km at 4.9
Iselsbergpass (1209m): 8.5km at 6.5
Grossglockner, Kasereck (1908m): 13.6km at 6.3

Stage 14, May 21 (Lienz, Austria – Monte Zoncolan):
Monte Crostis (1982m): 14km at 10.1
Monte Zoncolan (1730m): 10.1km at 11.9

Stage 15, May 22 (Conegiano – Gardeccia):
Piancavallo (1290m): 13.7km at 8.3
Forcella Cibiana (1530m): 10.2km at 7
Passo Giau (2236m): 15.9km at 6.5
Passo Fedaia (2057m): 13.4km at 7.9
Gardeccia (1948m): 6.2km at 10

Stage 16, May 24 (Belluno – Nevegal, time-trial):
Nevegal (1047m): 7.3km at 8.2

Stage 17, May 25 (Feltre-Tirano):
Passo del Tonale (1883m): 15.2km at 6

Stage 19, May 27 (Bergamo – Macugnaga):
Mottarone (1341m): 13.8km at 6.2
Macugnaga (1360m): 28.2km at 3.9

Stage 20, May 28 (Verbania – Sestriere):

Colle delle Finestre (2178m): 18.5km at 9.2
Sestriere (2035m): 16.2km at 3.8
