Greipel Takes Tour of the Algarve Stage, Contador Waiting To Pounce

LISBON, Feb 19, 2011 – German sprint specialist Andre Greipel won the fourth stage of the Tour of the Algarve on Saturday, the 167.3km ride from Albufeira to Tavira.

British rider Stephen Cummings retained his 6sec lead in the overall standings ahead of three-time Tour de France champion Alberto Contador, who is competing days after being cleared of doping by the Spanish Cycling Federation.

Contador, though, will fancy his chances of winning the race for the third successive year as Sunday’s final stage is a 17.2km time-trial between Lagoa and Portimao.
