Michael Mørkøv Headed For Victory In Berlin

After a rather disappointing Saturday night, Saxo Bank-SunGard’s Michael Mørkøv and his partner, Alex Rasmussen took charge of things and moved to second overall by winning Monday night’s big hunt. However, the battle between the Danish couple and home ground favorites Bartko/Kluge opened a door to the other couples who took advantage of the situation and gained a lap. Now, five couples are on an equal amount of laps before the grand finale Tuesday night.

“It’s gonna be a very exciting finale. We will certainly keep our eyes on Bartko/Kluge as they are extremely strong at the moment and they will do anything to win on home ground. If we can just keep up with them until the final 50 laps, I’m sure we will be in the best position to win overall. One thing is certain, we are very close to a second win here in Berlin and only the overall victory is now important to us,” says Saxo Bank’SunGard’s Michael Mørkøv confidently.
