The early season programme of Philippe Gilbert is being progressively completed. He has just decided, after discussing it with Omega Pharma – Lotto to take part to the 2011 Ghent-Wevelgem.

He feels that this Flemish Classique is an ideal preparation to Ronde van Vlaanderen, one of his major 2011 objectives.

As the 250 kilometres route of Ghent-Wevelgem is well within his possibilities, and the race might also bring him useful points for the UCI World classification, Philippe will start with his usual ambition !
