16-Sep-2011: There are some more new arrivals in the Quick-Step house. Czech František Rabon and German Bert Grabsch will be riding with the team for the next 2 years.
Rabon, born in Prague 28 years ago, has 8 victories under his belt; most noteworthy are 3 national time trial titles, the Prologue of Tour de Romandie 2009 and the GC of Vuelta a Murcia in 2010.
Grabsch, born in Wittenberg 36 years ago, is one of the most enduring and powerful athletes in the group. He actually holds 16 victories. His proudest include the World Championship title in Varese 2008 and 4 national time trial titles.
“František and Bert are two excellent team players, athletes with great intellect who can win and carry their team mates into position to vie for victory,” said Patrick Lefevere. “Both are fantastic cronomen and great pace setters who can carry out quality and quantity work at the front of the group.”
