Bianchi officially introduces Team Belkin’s Infinito CV model for the 2014 season. With its Countervail® vibration cancelling technology, the new Infinito CV is the innovative invention developed by Bianchi to reduce muscle fatigue and increase bike control. It is the ideal performance bicycle for the classics and will support Team Belkin riders with the likes of Sep Vanmarcke and Lars Boom to overcome the cobbles in classics like Paris-Roubaix, also known as the Hell of the North.
Winner of international cycling awards as the best and most innovative bike of the year 2013-2014, the Infinito CV perfectly matches the strategy and vision of Team Belkin – one of the most innovative World Tour teams in terms of technology, training and performance.
“The Infinito CV is a highly innovative product,” Team Belkin’s general manager Richard Plugge stated. “Together with our partners TEAM Belkin strives for excellence. Right from the start Bianchi showed us they are motivated and equipped to build excellent products. We give access to the TEAM, so Bianchi can get feedback to build even better products. It results in a close cooperation where we can both benefit.”
Stiffness and strength
Proven in the extreme conditions of NASA aerospace operations, Countervail® carbon material –with its patented carbon fiber architecture and viscoelastic material – is embedded within Bianchi’s unique Infinito CV carbon layup. It cancels vibration while increasing the stiffness and strength of the entire frame. Scientific studies prove that long term exposure to vibration, typically absorbed by the rider, causes muscle fatigue and discomfort, resulting in a reduced performance. Bianchi’s patented Countervail® vibration cancelling technology reduces muscle fatigue and increases energy savings in distance rides to specifically support Team Belkin in its innovation performance strategy.
2013 Paris-Roubaix podium finisher Sep Vanmarcke: “I was really eager to test my Infinito CV after as I was impressed by the innovative technology developed by Bianchi. Since my first ride I noticed the difference: you cycle smoother over any surface. It will be a great support for me and the team at the classics.”
Team Belkin’s new intake Jonathan Hivert from France explains about his first approach to the Infinito CV: “I’m simply impressed by this bike. I normally suffer pain with extreme racing carbon frames but with the Infinito CV I’m now able to ride six or seven hours without any pain. I heard about the Countervail® technology and I have to admit that it really works. I think I will use this frame for the entire season.”
Dutchman Lars Boom is also another Team Belkin rider supplied by Bianchi with the Infinito CV: “In addition to the vibration cancelling technology that you can feel since your first ride, the Infinito CV provides maximized ride control and better handling. And I really like the design and aero frame shape.”
